Communicate the same clinical information appropriately in each setting: with the patient, in the case presentation and in the medical report.
Ich habe einen starken Druck auf der Brust.
Die Patientin hat einen retrosternalen Druckschmerz.
And in the doctor’s letter (part 2), in reported speech: Sie gibt an, sie habe einen retrosternalen Druckschmerz.
You practise rendering what a patient says the way the senior physician and the doctor’s letter expect, exactly as in the three parts of the FSP.

How you train with KlinikDeutsch
Take the history
The virtual patient answers out loud. You speak into the microphone or type, the clock shows your 20 minutes, and every item you complete on the checklist turns green.
Write the doctor’s letter
The writing simulator assesses four criteria: completeness, medical language and nominal style, C1 grammar, clinical logic. You see your percentage score, the required sections still to add and a model answer.
Present the case
Dr. Weiß, your virtual partner for case presentations, listens to your case presentation for 20 minutes and then asks you the examiner’s specialist questions.
Switch register
The same finding for the patient, the senior physician and the doctor’s letter. Plus the informed consent discussion in lesson 5 and the conversation with a parent in lesson 20.
The course ends with 2 exam simulations covering all three parts in one sitting. Whenever you ask, Dr. Weiß explains in your language.
Cases from 17 specialties + 2 exam simulations
Lesson 1 is your starting point. From lesson 2 on, every lesson brings a case: first the three exam parts and informed consent, then 17 specialties, and finally two exam simulations. Plus 4 core modules: medical terminology, physical examination, diagnostic procedures, and intercultural communication including the conversation with an interpreter.

First you listen to a conversation and collect key phrases. Then you practise yourself in the simulator. In your next session you write a text and use the feedback. Finally you repeat the case as an exam situation.
You learn in short units: for example a conversation, a writing task or a review. You spread a complete case over several study sessions. Your prior knowledge and your reviews set your pace.

What doctors ask us most often
Is this course for me if I am still working towards B2?
Where and at what level do I take the Fachsprachprüfung?
How does the Fachsprachprüfung work?
Following the course structure, the exam has three parts of about 20 minutes each, about 60 minutes in total, and follows a patient’s path through the hospital: history taking, doctor’s letter, case presentation. This is how you train them in the course:
Part 1 · History taking · approx. 20 minutes
You take a patient's history: current complaints, past history, medication, allergies, social history, and explain what happens next. In patient language, so she understands you.
Part 2 · Doctor’s letter · approx. 20 minutes
You write up that conversation: history, findings, suspected diagnosis and next steps, concise and in medical language.
Part 3 · Case presentation (doctor-to-doctor conversation) · approx. 20 minutes
You present the case to the senior physician and answer his questions: suspected diagnosis, differential diagnoses, work-up and treatment, as a colleague among colleagues.
You train these three parts in every lesson from 2 to 22, with a clock and assessment, and all in one sitting in the two exam simulations at the end.

He is 61 and in the emergency department. Watch how Dr. Weiß takes the history, then talk to Mr Becker yourself, write the history of present illness for the doctor’s letter and present the case, right in your browser.
