Turn what your patient shows and says into precise findings.
Rechts geht es nicht so weit … au.
Herr Dr. Hauser, mein Befund zu Herrn Sommer: eine deutlich eingeschränkte Abduktion rechts und eine schmerzhafte Außenrotation.
And for Mr Sommer, “die Abduktion” (abduction) becomes “das Abspreizen zur Seite” (moving the arm out to the side) again: Heben Sie bitte den Arm zur Seite.
You practise reporting your patient’s symptoms to the doctor as clear findings and then guiding the movement in simple words.

How you train with KlinikDeutsch
Talk to your patient
The virtual patient answers out loud. You lead the initial consultation, ask about pain, history and daily life and guide movements, speaking into the microphone or typing.
Present the patient
In every lesson you present your patient in professional language: to the colleague covering for you, to the doctor or to the team, just like in part 2a of the exam.
Describe the situation
You see a picture from everyday therapy work, describe it and assess it. Herr Bauer asks follow-up questions, just like in part 2b of the exam.
Write as you do at work
Assessment notes, therapy report, progress notes and the email to the head of therapy. The feedback shows you your strengths and what to improve, with a score from 0 to 100.
13 cases from practice, hospital and rehab + exam simulation
From your first day in the practice to the case conference at the rehab centre. Plus a core module “Terminology & key vocabulary” with 141 words to listen to, abbreviations and a cheat sheet.
You get to know the team and the routines and understand the Heilmittelverordnung, the medical prescription for therapy.
History taking with Mrs Köhler (52), who has a herniated disc at L4/L5; you clarify the prescription with Dr Hauser.
You examine the shoulder of Mr Sommer (58) and report your findings to the doctor.
Mobilising Mr Romano (81); you agree on partial weight-bearing with the nursing staff and the doctor.
Gait training with Mr Krause (68), coordinated with nursing and occupational therapy.
Walking practice with Mr Lentz (70); you present him to the colleague covering for you.
Fall prevention with Mrs Maier (82); you advise her daughter and the nursing staff.
Breathing therapy with pursed-lip breathing for Mr Falk (78), who has COPD.
Graded exercise for Mrs Sander (64); you agree the training plan with the doctor and the sports therapy team.
Pain education for Mrs Engel (49), who is afraid of movement.
Mr Sand (57) after a total knee replacement: you motivate him together with his wife and your colleague.
Home programme for Mrs Köhler: her husband joins in, and you hand over to Lea.
Case conference in the team: you put forward your view and write the report for the head of therapy.
Parts 1, 2a, 2b and 3 in a row, as in the Fachsprachprüfung.

Structure based on the physiotherapy sample exam of the Bayerisches Landesamt für Pflege (version of 12 July 2023). In lesson 14 you practise all four parts in a row.
How to plan your learning
14 lessons (13 cases and the exam simulation) and a core terminology module
A possible study rhythm
First you listen to a conversation and collect useful phrases. Then you practise yourself in the simulator. In your next session you write a text and use the feedback. Finally you repeat the case as an exam situation.
You learn in individual units: for example a conversation, a writing task or a review. You spread a complete case over several study sessions. Your prior knowledge and your reviews set your pace.
Your monthly price
€39 a month for the digital professional language course. You decide how long your subscription runs. The examination body charges its exam fee separately.
Your FSP preparation
You practise for the FSP of your profession in Bavaria at B2 level: patient conversation, professional conversation and writing. Your Anerkennungsstelle, the recognition authority, confirms the language certificate for your application. Official exam information.

What physiotherapists ask us most often
Is this course for me if I am still below B2?
Where is the FSP exam compulsory for physiotherapy?
How does the exam work?
The exam lasts 60 minutes and mirrors a working day: first the patient, then the team, then the desk. Three parts of 20 minutes each, as set out in the official Bavarian sample exam:
Part 1 · Patient conversation · 20 minutes
You lead the initial consultation with a patient: symptoms, history and treatment goals, in words the patient understands, calmly and clearly.
Part 2 · Conversation in the team · 20 minutes
First you present a patient to a colleague, for example because she covers for you during your holiday, now in professional language (part 2a, 10 minutes). Then you get a picture from everyday work: you describe the situation, assess it and say how you respond (part 2b, 10 minutes).
Part 3 · Writing · 20 minutes
You write an email to the head of therapy at a rehab centre: diagnosis, progress in therapy and an exercise for home, with a greeting and a closing.
You practise conversation, patient presentation, picture description and writing in every lesson, with evaluation, as often as you like. In lesson 14, the exam simulation, you practise all parts in a row, with a timer.
How much time do I need each week?
Can I see the course first?
Mrs Köhler has pain in her back and her left leg. How do you lead the initial consultation?
Three weeks ago she lifted a heavy box. Greet her, ask about the pain, where it radiates and her daily life, and suggest a first therapy goal, right in your browser.
