How to plan your learning
14 lessons and a foundation module
One possible study rhythm
First you listen to a conversation and collect key sentences. Then you practise yourself in the simulator. In your next session you write a text and use the feedback. Finally you repeat the case as an exam situation.
You learn in separate units: for example a conversation, a writing task or a review. You spread a complete case over several study sessions. Your prior knowledge and your reviews set your pace.
Your monthly price

Your FSP preparation

How does the exam work?
The exam lasts 60 minutes and mirrors a working day: first the patient, then the team, then the desk. Three parts of 20 minutes each, as set out in the sample exam of the Bayerisches Landesamt für Pflege (the Bavarian state authority in charge):
Part 1 · Patient conversation · 20 minutes
You explain the blood draw to a patient, answer her questions and put her at ease: in patient-friendly language, calmly and clearly.
Part 2 · Conversation in the team · 20 minutes
First you hand the case over to a colleague, now in professional language (part 2a). Then you get a photo from everyday lab work: you describe the situation, assess it and say how you would respond (part 2b).
Part 3 · Writing · 20 minutes
You write a professional e-mail to the doctor, for example about abnormal lab values: factual, complete, in professional language.
You practise exactly these three parts in every lesson, with a timer and evaluation, and all of them in one go in the exam simulation at the end.
